Hiegbrund

The City with a Black Tower

The city revealed itself as a microcosm of the world as our ship came closer to a new continent. Half a temple rose from the undulating grass in the east, while towards the west stood an ancient castle higher on the hills in the west. They both silently witnessed the very different constructions in the north and south. The cubic stores supported by scaffolds were flocked by passengers, and on the other side, rest peaked-roof architectures and twisting alleys. I believed that this city also preserved other historical artifacts out of our sight. The weather was like in early autumn, and the sea wind spread the warm golden sunlight evenly onto the architecture facades.

She pointed to a black tower at the center of this city called Hiegbrund. That tower was not the highest building in the whole area. However, it was like a thumbtack on a map for its conspicuous slim silhouette, fixing every mobile substance to its respective position within this city.
