Hiegbrund

“Why do you think people like to climb higher and take a panoramic view?”

I said that people enjoyed the feeling of ultimate control from a higher position.

“That’s part of the reason. But for me, I prefer the higher position because it enables me to see the boundaries of the whole place. Standing on that tower, I can witness the beginning and the ending of Hiegbrund, and feel empowered to measure the landscape in a miniature view. Without the visible boundaries, I can not quickly locate the architecture that I am seeking or count the number of districts that I haven’t set my foot in, and I will never understand the fact that these altogether are just a tiny corner of the whole world. There are more undiscovered regions beyond the mountain and sea. These ideas make me feel comfortable because I can escape and flee into other directions anyway.”
